Stage 1 — Inquiry and Specification

Submit inquiry with drawing (preferred), or sample, or description of gear type, module, tooth count, material, and quantity. Korea Ever-Power responds within 24 hours with a price quotation and any clarifying questions. If no drawing is available, submit the gear sample and Korea Ever-Power will measure and prepare the drawing for customer approval before proceeding. No CAD capability required from the customer — Korea Ever-Power provides the full drawing service.

Stage 2 — Material Selection Consultation

Korea Ever-Power engineers review the application requirements and recommend the optimal material. Key questions: What is the maximum operating temperature? Is the environment humid, wet, or chemically aggressive? What is the duty cycle (continuous vs intermittent)? Is lubrication available or must the gear be dry-running? Is the gear in contact with food, medical patients, or electrical circuitry? The answers determine whether POM, PA6, PA66+GF, PEEK, PPS, or another material is most appropriate.

Stage 3 — Mould Design and Manufacture

For injection-moulded gears: Korea Ever-Power's mould design team designs the tool, selects the mould steel grade (S136H–H13), and manufactures the mould. Lead time 15–35 days depending on complexity. For CNC-machined gears: programming and machining from cast plastic rod or block — typically 5–10 days. Mould designs include draft angles for clean ejection, gate location optimised for minimum internal stress in the tooth root, and cooling channels for consistent shot-to-shot dimensions.

Stage 4 — Sample Production and Approval

First article samples (typically 5–20 pcs) from the new mould are produced, dimensionally inspected, and sent to the customer for approval. Korea Ever-Power provides the first article inspection report (dimensions, tooth profile, surface quality) with the samples. If the customer requests modifications (to module, bore, face width, or surface finish) after testing, Korea Ever-Power makes the mould corrections and re-samples. Only after customer sample approval does series production begin.

Stage 5 — Series Production and QC

Series production follows the approved process parameters recorded in the ISO9001 production control plan. In-process inspection records shot weight, critical dimensions, and visual quality at specified intervals. Final inspection includes a statistical sample from each production batch. Korea Ever-Power provides video inspection records (process, dimensions, surface, packaging) for remote customer acceptance. Complete inspection records retained for 3 years under the ISO9001 quality system.

Stage 6 — Packaging and Shipping

Packaging options: PP bag + carton for standard gear shipments; wooden case or pallet for large gear components or high-value assemblies; container loading for high-volume production orders. Shipping method: courier (DHL/UPS/FedEx) for samples and small orders; air freight for medium volumes; sea freight for large-volume cost-optimised shipments. POM (Polyacetal / Delrin / Acetal)

Best for: precision micro gears (M0.1–M2), humid environments (0.2% water absorption), silent consumer electronics drives. Characteristics: milky white or black, very low friction (μ ≈ 0.10), excellent dimensional stability, good fatigue resistance. Korea Ever-Power mould grades: NAK80, S136H for POM food-grade or medical gear moulds.

Nylon / PA6 / PA66 / PA66+GF

Best for: shock-load drives (highest toughness), large gears (MC Nylon cast), automotive (PA66+GF30 to 130°C, 180 MPa tensile). Characteristics: cream/natural/blue/green, self-lubricating, very tough. Korea Ever-Power uses 718H or H13 mould steel for PA66+GF high-volume automotive gears needing maximum mould life.

PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone)

Best for: extreme temperature (250°C continuous), autoclavable medical gears, semiconductor equipment, aerospace. Characteristics: amber/beige, chemically inert, high stiffness (4.5 GPa), low water absorption (0.1%). Korea Ever-Power uses S136H or H13 hot-hard mould steel for PEEK gears — PEEK's high processing temperature (370–400°C melt) requires high-quality moulds with precise temperature control.

PPS (Polyphenylene Sulphide)

Best for: under-hood automotive (200°C continuous), chemical plant equipment (resistant to most solvents and acids), electronics (inherently flame-retardant UL94-V0). Characteristics: dark grey/black, rigid, brittle (low impact strength — add glass fibre for applications with occasional shock). Very low water absorption (< 0.1%).

UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight PE)

Best for: food-grade conveyor gears (FDA-listed, near-zero water absorption), chemical-resistant drives, ultra-low friction applications (μ ≈ 0.04–0.08).
