Main Transmission Gears

The tractor's main gearbox provides multiple speed ranges (typically 8–24 forward speeds, 4–8 reverse) by combining a range change section and a speed change section. The main transmission gears are large-module (M4–M8) constant-mesh helical or spur gears in 20CrMnTi or 20CrMnMo carburised alloy steel. These gears must handle full engine torque (200–600 Nm) under repeated shift engagements and sustained heavy draught loading — requiring deep case hardening (1.2–1.8 mm case depth) and precision grinding to maintain mesh quality over 5,000+ hours of service.

PTO (Power Take-Off) Gears

Tractor PTO gears transmit engine power from the transmission to the implement PTO shaft — standardised at 540 RPM (small tractors) or 1,000 RPM (large tractors), independent of ground speed. Hydraulic Pump Drive Gears

Tractor hydraulic system gear pumps are driven from the engine through a dedicated gear train at constant speed regardless of tractor transmission ratio. Die-Casting
