Main Transmission Gears

The tractor's main gearbox provides multiple speed ranges (typically 8–24 forward speeds, 4–8 reverse) by combining a range change section and a speed change section. The main transmission gears are large-module (M4–M8) constant-mesh helical or spur gears in 20CrMnTi or 20CrMnMo carburised alloy steel. These gears must handle full engine torque (200–600 Nm) under repeated shift engagements and sustained heavy draught loading — requiring deep case hardening (1.2–1.8 mm case depth) and precision grinding to maintain mesh quality over 5,000+ hours of service.

PTO (Power Take-Off) Gears

Tractor PTO gears transmit engine power from the transmission to the implement PTO shaft — standardised at 540 RPM (small tractors) or 1,000 RPM (large tractors), independent of ground speed. Final Drive Gears (Trumpet Housing)

The tractor's final drive (inside the trumpet-shaped rear axle housing) provides the last stage of speed reduction and torque multiplication from the differential to the drive wheel. A large-module (M8–M14) spur or helical gear reduction (typically 3:1 to 6:1) gives the tractor its high ground force traction capability. The final drive planet or spur gears are among the largest and most heavily loaded tractor gears — material: 42CrMo or 40CrNiMo, quenched and tempered, surface hardened. Hydraulic Pump Drive Gears

Tractor hydraulic system gear pumps are driven from the engine through a dedicated gear train at constant speed regardless of tractor transmission ratio. The hydraulic pump drive gears (M2–M4, fine pitch, high accuracy) provide the oil flow for the tractor's three-point linkage, remote hydraulic outlets, power steering, and brake actuation systems. These are high-speed precision gears requiring tight pitch accuracy for low noise and smooth pressure delivery — material: 40Cr or 45# steel, induction hardened.

Creep Speed and Range Change Gears

Modern tractors include creep speed gear sets that reduce the minimum tractor ground speed to as low as 50 m/hour for transplanting, harvesting, and precision seedbed operations. The creep gear set is typically an additional epicyclic (planetary) stage engaged between the main gearbox and the rear axle. Die-Casting

Die-casting weight range: 100 g to 30 kg. Materials: aluminium alloy and zinc alloy. Die-cast tractor gear components include hydraulic pump housing covers, differential housing end covers, transmission case side plates, and PTO output shaft covers — lightweight aluminium components that require tight dimensional accuracy for correct sealing and bearing alignment in the assembled transmission.

CNC Machining

Full CNC machining capability: deburring, drilling, tapping, milling, grinding. Tolerance: 0.01–0.05 mm by multi-axis CNC machining. Tractor gear tooth forms machined by NC gear hobbing (OD from 30 mm to 600 mm) with ground finish for critical precision gears. Shaft bore, keyway, and spline machining to ISO tolerance grades H6/H7 for bearing and PTO interface fits.

Surface Finishing

Sand casting, polishing, plating (zinc, nickel), painting (primer + topcoat per OEM colour), powder coating (TGIC or polyester), anodising (aluminium components).
